Madison's only long-distance plantlife hurling contest.

All entrants MUST be at Quality Auto Group, 7370 N. Ridge Road, East, Madison by 12 P.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Competition starts at 2 p.m.

CONTEST RULES:
1. Categories of competition - each judged on distance:
             • Manual powered
             • Machine powered
             • Compressed air
             • High school teams
2. No part of the machine shall cross firing line.
3. Only five registered team members will be allowed in the competition area.
4. Machines may be constructed of any material, EXCEPT EXPLOSIVES.
5. Best of three throws wins. Machines must be able to reload and fire within 10 minutes.
6. PUMPKINS MUST LEAVE MACHINE INTACT.
7. Teams may have corporate sponsors and advertising on machines.
8. All entrants must be at Quality Buick by 12 p.m. on October 7 and ready to launch at 2 p.m. Teams may, however, begin setting up at 10 a.m.
9. Decision of judges is final. These rules are not inclusive.
10. Pumpkins will be provided, and are distributed randomly.
11. Pumpkins will be between 6 and 10 lbs. There is no guarantee on weight or shape.
12. All contestants enter the contest at their own risk. PumpkinFest and Pumpkin Chuckin' sponsors and organizers, while they make every atempt to ensure a safe environment, are not liable for accidents to individuals or property.
